Griffith University are looking for up to 7 girls/young women/non-binary people with disability who are interested in sharing their experiences and gaining experience and skills in communication, advocacy, and leadership through the project over several years.
The project, titled ‘Outsiders in Sport: Co-creating an inclusive mega-sport event legacy’, aims to explore the ways girls, women and non-binary people from different backgrounds can help shape the legacy outcomes of the upcoming 2032 Games (and hopefully also inform future event planning as well!). This project funded by Griffith University is using the term ‘outsiders’ to address everyone who are interested in engaging in sport beyond and outside of those who have historically been at the centre of sports.
The 3-year research project being led by researchers at Griffith University (funded by the Australian Research Council), Adele Pavlidis, Simone Fullagar, Millie Kennelly, and Diti Bhattacharya.
