Sport Access Foundation is proud to be a beneficiary of an inspiring new national initiative, Movement For Change, launched by the 2025 Australian Olympic Change Maker cohort.
Kicking off on Monday, June 1, Movement For Change brings together 20 passionate young leaders united by a shared mission: to break down barriers and create greater access to sport for disadvantaged children across Australia. Through this initiative, the group aims to collectively complete a minimum of 10,000 kilometres over six months while raising $100,000 to support youth participation in sport.
At Sport Access Foundation, we know that sport is more than just physical activity. It builds confidence, fosters belonging, and creates opportunities for young people to thrive. However, many children are still excluded due to financial hardship, disability, illness, or lack of access. Movement For Change is helping to address these challenges head-on.
All funds raised through the initiative will be distributed equally among three impactful organisations: the Indigenous Marathon Foundation, Sport Access Foundation, and the Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation. Each organisation works with young Australians facing unique barriers, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.
Participants in Movement For Change will log kilometres daily through activities such as running, walking, cycling, swimming, and rowing. Alongside this, they will host community fundraising events and encourage schools, clubs, and individuals to get involved - whether by donating, sharing the message, or organising their own fundraising efforts.
For Sport Access Foundation, this partnership represents an important opportunity to continue supporting children who might otherwise miss out on the life-changing benefits of sport. Every contribution helps us provide access to equipment, programs, and inclusive sporting opportunities for young Australians living with disability or disadvantage.
We encourage our community to get behind Movement For Change. Whether you donate, share the initiative, or take part in a fundraising activity, your support will help ensure that no child is left on the sidelines.

Your donation will go towards providing financial assistance and support to enable children with a disability to participate in sporting activities. Every dollar goes direct to the grant recipients to help with the cost of their sport, including modified equipment, carer costs, transport and fees.
